Markel Bergara Larrañaga (born 5 May 1986 in Elgoibar, Gipuzkoa) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Sociedad in La Liga, as a defensive midfielder.
A Real Sociedad youth graduate, Bergara started his professional career on loan, having season-long spells in the second division, with SD Eibar and UD Vecindario; both ended in relegation.
On 4 September 2007, he made his first-team debut for Real, appearing in a 0–1 away defeat against UD Las Palmas for the season's Spanish Cup. He only played four times in the league in his first year (also in the second level).
